The global pandemic brought along brand new challenges for everyone, in a variety of different forms, and emerging UK bedroom-pop artist Artemas is no exception to the rule.

The self-proclaimed “wannabe-popstar” struggled with the labours of an online relationship due to the restrictions that came with these times, and ‘Real Life’ is a cathartic track that sees him articulating these frustrations. Musically, the artist’s fourth release is a bouncy pop track that flows in a really nice, considered way, feeling catchy and appealing throughout. Another highlight of this is the writing, the artist seems to capture the essence of a long distance relationship in an endearing and relatable way, with a lot to latch onto and find comfort in for people that have been through similar situations. Don’t find too much comfort in it though, as Artemis has since stated that the relationship was ended by the girl two days before the video was shot.
