Despite being close friends and frequent collaborators, Aurelia and Icarus Moth have not joined forces to create a track together until now, but it is safe to say that this was more than worth the wait.
Melding Aurelia’s powerful, all-encompassing vocals with restless drum n bass and aggressive, emotionally charged production feels effortlessly natural and exciting, making for an exhilarating track feels as gripping as it does cathartic. From the sheer power and energy of the instrumental, to the shifting tones, to the emotion poured into every facet of the track, it becomes clear quite early on that is no ordinary release. Unsurprisingly, these two artists work incredibly together, and the range of emotions and styles that are captured within this track feels as fluid and dynamic as anything that you’re likely to hear any time soon.
“A little-known fact about this collaboration is that it was born from fandom”, Aurelia explains. “I was actually a huge fan of Icarus Moth after I found him on SoundCloud in high school, which dates it perfectly. At that time I was just a consumer and was more focused on figuring out what I wanted, and in 2019 I finally let myself become the artist I wanted to be. That’s actually when I met Nathan (Icarus Moth), in a Guitar Center on 14th street, buying my first-ever microphone. I knew from that little interaction that I would find someone brilliant to work with, but I also didn’t realize until much later that I had also found my best friend.”
