The track, the first release from their upcoming 2022 debut album Love Boredom Bicycles, is entrenched in realism, glorifying a relationship both at its best and at its terrifying worst. The unique personality of the outfit is doused over the track and its creative video, and the melodic and carefree nature of the sound makes sure that lyrics like “my baby’s like cigarettes when she’s killing me” never feel too dark or out of place. Speaking on the new single the band said: “It’s about the push and pull in relationships and the ups and downs, cause sometimes one minute you’re cuddling in the kitchen, the next chef knives are flying across the room. It’s never always perfect but that’s part of it.”
