The new single is from the artist’s highly-awaited upcoming EP Sorry I’m So Sensitive
Quickly making a name for herself thanks to her gentle sound and immersive songwriting, Northern Irish singer-songwriter Bea Stewart is an artist that has an innate ability to strike a chord with listeners thanks to the relatable and poignant nature of her writing and the affable charm and charisma that she possesses in abundance.
Latest single ‘Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself’ is the more recent in a line of releases that highlight the appeal that the artist has, with the track serving as a heartfelt plea for people to be a little bit kinder to themselves and cut themselves some slack when things aren’t going so well. The earnest nature of the songwriting and delicate appeal of her vocal delivery makes for a message that you believe every step of the way, and one that demonstrates time and time again why Bea is so revered and loved as an artist already.
“This song is like a big hug to me.” Bea says of the track. “It was inspired by my girl gang who always have my back and see the best in me – if we could see ourselves the way our friends see us I think we’d be a lot kinder to ourselves. I wrote this song with Oskar Winberg and Katie Sutherland after a tricky time when my confidence had taken a big knock and I was pretty pissed off at myself for letting it happen. Truth is if one of my friends had been in the same situation I wouldn’t be so hard on them, I would just want them to know how wonderful they are. Hope this is a gentle reminder to not be too hard on yourself.”
