Armed with charming upbeat appeal and catchy melodies, self-proclaimed “dirtbag boyband” Bears In Trees have continued to go from strength to strength, showcasing a distinctive allure and sense of optimism that has seen them continue to win over fans and admirers over the last two years.

The band have just announced the upcoming release of their new album How to Build an Ocean: Instructions, and with it comes the new single ‘Things That Look Like Mistakes’. The new single is packed full of the energetic and wholesome appeal that the four-piece have made their own, urging listeners to savour the moments of joy and happiness that we feel alongside a soundscape that echoes the sentiment through its euphoric, melodic glow. The sense of fun and energy that radiates through their sound is infectious, and the band continue to keep their sound feeling fresh and vibrant, feeling quite unlike anybody else as a result.

“It’s easy to fall for cynicism, become burnt out searching for answers that aren’t there, or become overwhelmed by existence,” says Iain. “This song is about slowing down, stepping back, and reconnecting with the small moments of joy in your life. dancing in your socks with a glass of wine. Going to concerts. Really listening to nature’s stirring. It may not be a permanent solution to feeling a lack of meaning in life, but remembering to embody those moments of peace is important.”
