The brand new single flips the idea of the conventional breakup anthem on its head, instead seeing the pair revel in the idea of being petty and immature following being mistreated by someone and going to lengths to make sure that they return the favour. This playful narrative is met with a dirty, rock-edged instrumental that adds a dangerous flair to the sound, ensuring that the duo’s point comes across in clear and unapologetic fashion.
Reflecting on the track, the twins share, “nothing is wrong with being petty, especially when it comes to your exes. When someone ruins your trust and treats you poorly, think it’s only healthy to return the favour. Being wholesome sounds good on paper, but matching pettiness with pettiness? That’s just fair.”
