Buckinghamshire outfit Bollo Bollo have been honing their distinctive brand of alternative rock and indie over the last few years, and this has now culminated with the release of their debut EP I’ve Got a Good Feeling About This.

The second track on the extended play is the outfit’s latest single ‘Last of Our Summers’, a track that encapsulates the unique sound of the outfit and the different elements that they incorporate into it. There are moments of euphoria, slick grooves and moments of crashing walls of guitars. The track sits comfortably between the lines of indie rock and alternative rock, melding the swagger and heaviness of Don Broco with the more experimental and vibey textures of artists like Foals and Tame Impala, this wide range of influences makes for a sound that feels both familiar in places and distinctively their own.

‘”Last Of Our Summers’ is a song that’s been lingering for many years, dating back to 2018 originally titled ‘Rinky Dink’ as a scrappy demo on my iPad, it’s been Frankensteined more times than we can count and we almost gave up on it entirely.” Guitarist Sonny Ford says of the track. “This is one of my favourite tracks on the EP due to the fact I feel it’s got almost every element of us crammed within a tune and really is the sound of all of our influences coming together in a single song. I love the unpredictable nature of the song and how it switches up between tight grooves, ambient sections and heavy moments in such a short space of time”
