Uplifting Irish indie rock band Brother Vice have been establishing themselves as a really rousing listen over the last few years, with their thoughtful lyrics and sunny soundscapes making for a potent mixture of style and substance, delving into relatable themes and resonating with listeners with their authentic and memorable approach.
The latest single from the trio is ‘Somebody to Love’, a track that sees them tap into the all-too-familiar territory of toxic relationships, and the ways that we can often look back at and romanticise situations that are no good for us when compared to the alternative of being alone. “I feel the listener can draw a relation to the song from their own individual experiences.” Lead guitarist Neil Mone says. “The lyrics touch on looking fondly at past relationships which may have been toxic and bad for you, but at some point we’re all guilty of been drawn to what’s bad for us, or looking at it through rose tinted glasses”.
