Chloe Moriondo continues to marry the catchy with the subversively dark on ‘Bodybag’

Someone threatening to murder you has never sounded so good.

Someone threatening to murder you has never sounded so good.

Juxtaposition is something that is mentioned a lot in contemporary music, but Chloe Moriondo‘s latest release ‘Bodybag’ looks to take the mantle for being the most subversive, tonally shifting track we have heard in a long while.

While maintaining an immensely and effortlessly catchy sound, the track features Chloe going back and forth in her mind between loving the object of her affection and wanting to uh, “put you in a bodybag”. This juxtaposition makes for a really nice contrast to the bubbly sound of the track, and highlights the unique and memorable appeal that Chloe Moriondo possesses. The track is fun, often quite terrifying in its innocuous presentation, and most importantly, another thought-provoking gem from the rapidly emerging artist.
