Chloe Rodgers has announced a brand new EP called Back To The Quay, set for release on November 26th, and with the announcement has came the EP’s title track of the same name.

The mesmerising new track is a grand example of the artist’s warm and textured sound and continues to establish her immense potential in the world of alternative pop. ‘Back To The Quay’ feels a lot more natural and candid than the bulk of the artist’s previous works, forgoing the usual electronics for a more stripped back approach that really showcases another facet of the artist’s range and sound. Due to the emotional gravity of the track, this approach really brings home its sense of honesty and realness in a way that feels truly resonating and impactful.

“I wrote ‘Back To The Quay’ about my papa (grandad) after I lost him.” Chloe says of the track. “He was starting to get dementia, and then had a brain tumour removed and the op went wrong, and it was all downhill from there until he eventually passed away late 2018. He watched his own mum deteriorate in a similar way and always told us he didn’t want to make it that far, which is what the first few lines are about. He was an amazing, witty, funny and musical grandad who inspired me to make up stories, to sing and to be myself. I miss him so much. I’m happy with how the song turned out and I think he would have liked it too.I think he’d have loved it actually. His usual word was “tremendous”!!!”
