Glaswegian Christy, is a man of many talents as we have already established, but his latest emotion-wrenching ballad ‘Forever’ sees the artist showcasing yet more of his never-ending range.

The track sees the artist armed only with an acoustic guitar, and when paired with his ever-emotive and cathartic vocals, it proves to be one of the most poignant and memorable of his releases to date. There is an almost cinematic feel to the track, almost like it is playing alongside the highlights of a now-faltering relationship. Emotion and heart feels literally etched into the foundations of track, drenched in sincerity and an endearing sense of hopelessness. Delicate, precise, and melancholy, ‘Forever’ is an affecting and moving piece of art that perfectly encapsulates what makes the artist so special.

“Time is a strange concept,” says Christy, “It passes us by in a flash. Looking into an ever changing face is an everyday reminder of how much of it has actually gone by. You can’t promise forever, because forever in a moment right now is different from forever in a moment tomorrow. Moments and people are constantly changing.”

As melancholic as the message and the sound is in ‘Forever’, soft and intimate, close and gentle, that’s no accident: “I wrote this song in the middle of the night, around 3am maybe, after an intense chat with my friend about a relationship that recently ended. I didn’t want to wake anyone so when I sang it into my phone it sounded so soft and intimate, we put a lot of work in making the recording have the same feeling.”
