The track continues an excellent run of form for the emerging young alternative pop artist
Breakups are hard and bring up a lot of conflicting feelings and mixed emotions, and latest colby! single ‘Who’s Your Angel Now’ is a track that addresses some of these and takes a look at the things you did together, the things you did for them, and whether somebody else is occupying that space and filling the gap.
The track has a really catchy and smooth feel to it throughout stylistically, but there is a sense of longing uncertainty within the lyrics. Often seen as the “good one” in her relationship and referred to as an angel by her exes family for showing up and being dependable, the track addresses the way that you kind of lose yourself in the process, wondering if there is somebody else who has picked up where you left off and being there for them in the ways that you used to be. It makes for a really compelling listen that some will really attach themselves to and resonate with, and continues to highlight the varied and immersive appeal of colby! and her sound.
