“I wanted to capture the excitement and delicious agony of being enamoured with someone and daydreaming about them to the point of almost insanity,” says Colleen. “I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote the chorus. I’d been listening to a lot of The Temptations and The Supremes and had been crushing on a graffiti writer who’s name I kept seeing everywhere, hence the line: ‘every time I see your name/ I seem to hear sweet refrains.'”
