Emerging out of his studio in Tottenham, North London, common goldfish has begun to establish his unique brand of blissed out 90s indie rock with his debut single ‘Feel the Fuzz’ and the brand new ‘Shout Louder’.

‘Shout Louder’ is a track that captures all of the atmosphere and coolness of bygone golden eras of indie rock and British music, feeling like it could effortlessly slot into the playlist of that cool bar that your mate’s mate told you about that only does IPA’s and real ales. There is an effortlessly laid-back feel to the track’s grooves that conjures up a feeling of euphoria, echoing the vibes of tracks like ‘Step On’ with its bouncing piano line and intoxicating charisma. ‘Shout Louder’ is a track that radiates warmth and good vibes, both nostalgic but packing a modern edge, an ode to the past but with a forward-thinking, engaging approach.

“I created the beat using a mix of 90’s break samples.” common goldfish says of the track. “Quite quickly I had the bass line and piano. I’d been watching the “Get Back” documentary, which definitely inspired the vocals and psychedelic guitar sounds. The track was making me think of being outside with friends in the sun, and the lyrics try to capture this.”
