Over the last few years here at CLOUT, we have grown into big fans of Daisy Gill and the distinctive and engrossing nature of her indie pop sound and the range of styles that she incorporates into it along the way, varying from atmospheric and introspective releases to all out pop bangers.

The artists’ latest single ‘Dream’ is a track that veers more on the atmospheric side, utilising an electronic soundscape to teeter between sleep and wakefulness with an appeal that feels otherworldly and surreal throughout. The gripping and hypnotic nature of the synths and the commanding vocal performance from Daisy makes for a really immersive sound that has a punchy and dancey feel to it despite its dreamy nature. There is a real depth to the narrative here and the way that the sound is put together to mirror it, and it makes for a listening experience that stands out both from more conventional pop sounds, and from a lot of Daisy’s own work.
