The tracks are from the artist’s long-awaited new album Fade to Violet

With the release of her brand new album Fade To Violet, Debbie Chou has put together eight tracks that do a great job of highlighting the deft and memorable appeal of the artist’s immersive sound, and we at CLOUT have picked out two tracks that embody the artist and album’s allure.

The fourth track, ‘Homecoming’, is one that has a real sense of heart and authenticity to it throughout, with the artist detailing her life and typical experiences as somebody who’s partner is often on the road. It is a track that will have a really resoanting and moving feel to a lot of listeners, and one that has a warmth to it that shines through the love and emotion in her words, in the easier times and the harder.

There is a more atmospheric feel to ‘Not Enough Time’, the sixth track on the album, and one that has a brooding and conversational feel to it throughout. The track does a great job of showcasing a much more grounded and raw side of the artist’s sound, offering a real sense of vulnerability as she delves into what feels like real conversations and occurances throughout.

These tracks do a great job of highlighting two of the different ways that Debbie can utilise her sound and push it into different directions while keeping her same distinctive appeal, The tracks explore themes like distance and having to spend time apart but come at it from different angles, making for two tracks that shine in their own ways while making up a portion of her stellar new album.
