Never content to stay in one place for any longer than he has to, New York’s Des Rocs seems to continue to expand upon and push the limits of his sound, and the very nature of alternative music, with every last release, and the brand new ‘Imaginary Friends’ is no exception to the rule.

Packing a more industrial-leaning, darkness but never sacrificing an ounce of the unique charisma and energy that the artist is revered for, the new track is a manic and suffocating thrill-ride that feels both incessantly fresh and new while also inescapably Des Rocs. The artist has really carved out a niche for himself with his thoughtful and truly unique approach to his sound and with every release there seems to be more and more inspiring surprises.

“‘Imaginary Friends’ is a personal anthem that draws from a well of escapism,” explains Des Rocs. “For me this song brings up all the darkest parts of myself – the journey of the last few years – and deals with all that darkness in one sort of manic exhale.
