With a quirky, unique sound and a flair for the emotional and dramatic, Cleveland, OH band Dive Bombs are carving a path for themselves as a creative new emo oddity in the same vein as artists like Say Anything and (early) Fall Out Boy.
New single ‘Silver Line’ is a fairly straight-forward love song on the surface, but one that is propped up by its emotive, personable songwriting and the sense of character and charm that oozes from the vocals and performances. Dive Bombs have cultivated a sound that feels entirely their own while paying homage to emo bands of the last 30 years or so, making for something that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. Mix that in with the vulnerable earnesty and candid honesty on display on ‘Silver Line’, and it makes for a really rewarding and engaging listening experience.
