The track is the latest piece of nostalgic and resonating work from the celebrated artist
Expressive, fun, and packed full of the kind of nostalgic, charming allure that feels irresistible and warm, latest DownTown Mystic single ‘Maybe Love’s A Crime’ finds the perfect meld of the vintage and the modern, offering a slick and often surprising listening experience following the release of recent EP Mystic Highway Road Trip.
The gloriously bluesy new release is a track that does a great job of encapsulating everything that DownTown Mystic is about, taking on these traditional rock’n’roll sounds and ensuring that there is still a space for somebody to fly the flag for them in the modern day, and the melodies and hooks still feel as potent as they ever have on this new release. From the swaggering charm in the vocals to the free-flowing piano keys, everything about this track feels gears towards giving the listener the most fun and upbeat listening experience possible.
