The track takes inspiration from Bollywood music!
Eades tackles the conflict of growing older on new single ‘Same Guy’. The track takes inspiration from Bollywood music with a spritely 90s groove.
Propelled by a bright and playful guitar riff, ‘Same Guy’ carries a loose, baggy energy that casts an affectionately knowing glance at the future whilst recognising that, as individuals, they are at a pivotal point in their lives. Hooked by a catchy, sing-a-long chorus, it puts a lighter spin on the concept of ageing.
“The song started out with a pair of riffs Dave had been working on inspired by Bollywood music in an attempt to force us down a different style sonically,” share the band of their new track. “Making us break away from a certain writing style that had become typical in the writing process of our first EP. Then there was the chorus melody Dave brought forward and instantly I knew it was a keeper.
“Its essentially a coming of age tune about realising eventually we’re all going to grow old,” they continue. “Becoming either our parents or the oldies we might think are ‘uncool’ growing up and accepting we are all just part of the cycle.”
