The emerging alt-pop outfit continue to showcase their engrossing charisma and personality.

Having emerged earlier in 2022 with their debut release ‘God’ to a positive reception, Manchester alt-pop outfit Egotist have now released their latest offering in the form of the thoughtful ‘I Worry Too Much’.

The track is an anthemic ode to the all too relatable feeling of being anxious and overly emotional, with songwriter Joe Prior baring his soul on the release, opening up about his vulnerabilities and flaws in a candid and empowering fashion. There is a real sense of catharsis on the track, and the personality and charm of the outfit and their distinctive sound shines through, in spite of the sombre subject matter. Egotist are still in their formative stages as an outfit but are more than proving themselves as a group that have a lot to say, and a really adept way of conveying it in a thoughtful and captivating manner.

“Being an anxious and restless person I can easily overload with emotion, especially when things go wrong” explains Joe. “After different failed attempts of dealing with this at a particularly difficult time in my life I ended up seeking some kind of sedative, be it alcohol, drugs, sex, love whatever took away that angst. ‘I Worry Too Much’ is about a friend who was always there for me during the break downs and after the pills wore off”.
