Gently mixing thoughtful and candid lyrics with the artist’s signature euphoric electronic soundscapes, latest Elohim release ‘Treat You Better’ sees the artist continue to establish herself as one of the most cutting edge and vital alt-pop artists around.

Impossible to pin down, the artist feels capable of doing anything with her sound and continues to beguile with her manipulation of pop as a genre and the ways that she can push and pull it to craft memorable sounds. The juxtaposition on show here between the sweet and candid vocals, followed by the start contrast of the electronics makes for something that feels both unexpected and immediately accessible, and highlights the unique winning formula of Elohim’s.

“I prefer the listener to find their own meaning within the lyrics and feeling of a song, but for me “Treat You Better” is a playful pact with myself to treat myself better.” Elohim says of the track. “My brain walks out on me in the first verse because she thinks I’m not worthy of her anymore because I’m too self-destructive. This is that conversation. Me and my brain. Fantasy meets reality.”
