Following the release of their incredible EP Tired of Illusions from back in May, exciting Swedish metal band Elviise have shown no sign of letting up with the release of their impactful and atmospheric new single ‘XX’, the latest showcase of the expansive and engrossing nature of their compelling sound.

The haunting new single utilises the heaviness and darkness of their sound to craft a message about finding hope and light in the bleakest of times, creating a sense of dissonance through their sound, complete with chugging riffs and immersive vocals to craft a sound that somehow feels fragile and powerful all at once. There is a really resonating feel to the track throughout, conflicting, contradictory and confounding in its style and appeal, but with a shining light in its message that feels uplifting and inspiring at its core, in spite of all of the darkness and moodiness that surrounds it.

”The hardest thing in life is not giving up on yourself. Giving up is easy.”  Elviise says. “Blaming your circumstances on things beyond your control, or on other people, is easy. But taking full responsibility for your own life, pushing yourself through every obstacle, and rising after every fall—that’s hard and takes a lot of courage to do. If you’re in this darkness right now, don’t give up. We believe in you.”
