Ending a relationship is often a hard thing to do, even if you know that it is what would be best for everybody involved, and new Etherdene single ‘Thank Goodness You Said Goodbye’ is a track that sees somebody looking back on a failed relationship that their partner ended and being glad that they ended, because they knew that they never would have themselves.
This makes for some really stirring and thoughtful moments throughout the track, with the artist’s typically thoughtful lyrics and emotive vocals doing a great job of bringing the narrative together and giving it a vibrant and colourful flair. Sometimes in life we don’t know what is best for us until we’re forced into dealing with situations that have wouldn’t have chosen ourselves, and this track does a great job of articulating that and bringing it to life in compelling fashion.
