The track is from their upcoming new EP Not All Men.
2021 saw the emergence of UK alternative rock act Femegades with the release of their debut EP Pornsick, a collection of tracks tackling themes such as violence against women and consent.
Now 2022 has rolled around and the Femegades are back to hold you accountable for your actions and call you out on your bullshit. With their follow up EP Not All Men slated for release in September, the outfit have set the tone for it with the release of their latest single ‘Speechless’. The track continues to establish their fuzzy, but melodic brand of punk-edged alternative rock, led by grungy riffs and clean vocals and ever-socially conscious and volatile lyrics, this time taking aim at the lazy “not all men” argument, whether the people that feel the need use it are so different themselves. The track is more vitally important work from Femegades, and one that doubles as a valid call for people to keep their behavior in check, and a fun piece of melodic, engaging alternative rock.
Also, if you think that ‘Speechless’ might be a personal attack on you, and are wondering if you fall into the category of people that the track is about – it probably is, and you probably do.
