It truly feels like a new era for Fizzy Blood as they gear up for the release for their debut album next year. Having previously gained acclaim for their more straight-laced indie rock approach, the outfit have returned with a more nuanced feel that feels as distinctive as it does engaging.

The second release of this new era is ‘Complementary’, a slow burning, shimmering track that seems to wash over you with its alluring, flowing nature. Now six years into the project, the outfit really seem to understand their sound inside out, and know exactly how to push and pull it into new sonic textures and shapes while maintaining that Fizzy Blood DNA.

It feels good to be back!”, explains vocalist Benji inkley, “We’ve been sitting patiently on new music for a few years now and to finally be able to share it with everyone is such a buzz. What I’m feeling can only be described as a mixture of pride and relief haha. Complementary wasn’t originally marked by any of us at the time of writing as a single but we’ve all come to love it. The lyrics, the sound, everything. It’s one of the tracks on the album that you could leave on repeat and just never turn off.”
