The track captures the reckless abandon and feelings of invulnerability that come with feeling young and alive with a sense of defiance that feels infectious throughout the track. The vocals and instrumentation here feel driven and unpolished in the best way, not looking to romanticise or glitz up anything, but rather just showcase it for what it was, something raw and real, dripping with passion and a lust for life that was unquenchable, the experiences along the way that shaped us for better or worse. The track has this nostalgic allure to it while feeling fiercely modern and intense, and manages to bottle up these emotions and intensity in a really captivating way.
“This one is quite literal,” says pianist Keenan Gregory. “It’s an anthem to our younger years, and being wild and free. The time we’ve spent playing music together has left its mark on each of us – it’s been formative.”
