The duo continue to hone their captivating sound on their grief-stricken latest release.

Having garnered a reputation for their dark indie sound that often feels haunting and sombre, Forgotten Garden have continued to showcase their poignant and unique writing on their grief-laden new release ‘Memoriam’.

The track takes it’s inspiration from the tragic experience of those unable to comfort a loved one at their passing. In a world still recovering from the worst of a unprecedented pandemic, the themes here feel very close to home, and the brooding, almost ethereal nature of the sound make for a captivating listening experience that captures a very real and relatable feeling. From the track’s wistful instrumental to Inês Rebelo’s spell-binding and melancholic vocals, the track feels like a powerful, stirring and seamless representation of loss and the feelings of hopelessness and regret that can come with it.
