The track follows their acclaimed recent release ‘Overlord’
An intimate and heartfelt new release that explores the the distinctive kind of depression that is caused by the breakdown of a relationship, Forgotten Garden‘s ‘Rain’ is a track that uses the bad weather as a sobering metaphor for the way that things feel and the way that world around us seems after walking away.
There are some really thoughtful and engrossing aspects to this sound throughout, while there is a haunting undertone to the instrumentation and the vocals, drawing parallels to the way that the narrator feels haunted by their old relationship and the way that the feelings seem to follow them around everywhere. It makes for a really resonating release throughout and one that is packed full of nuance and relatable appeal, and it does great job of articulating the clouds that such situations hang over you and the way you can’t seem to shake them off.
