The track follows their debut release ‘Crane Song (Ver. 1)
New York’s Frog Throat are rapidly establishing themselves as an outfit to look out for thanks to their endearing and earnest brand of fun, laid-back slacker rock, and latest single ‘Women’s Jeans’ provides a really nice showcase of what they have to offer.
There is a really carefree and intrinsically relaxing feel to the track, embracing its imperfections and taking on a really conversational, approachable style of writing, not dissimilar to earlier tracks from artist’s like The Front Bottoms and The Smith Street Band. The unique charisma and charm of the sound is what really sets it apart, embodying a quirky sense of candid openness that just feels warm and trustworthy.
“I wrote this song in 2019 as a freshly minted adult, grappling with anxiety that the world could end at any second, and trying to figure out a solid routine for how to keep my sink clean.” Frog Throat say of the track. “After a minor apocalypse we were finally able to record it at Moon Studios in Queens, NY.”
