With the release of her excellent new EP Life at the Kitchen Table, Gigi Wilde has done a fantastic and resonating job of capturing the different facets of our lives and the moments that shape and define us, centred around this central idea of a kitchen table and all of the different experiences and life events that happen around it. The collection of tracks are packed full of a wide spectrum of emotions and scenarios, full of life and earnest honesty throughout.
A track that encapsulates this appeal is the EP’s fifth in the form of ‘permission’, a tender and soft track that moves with the kind of fluidity and life that the album is all about, exploring themes like love and relationships along the way in this delicate fashion.
