From its boundless energy to its uplifting message, ‘Famously Alive’ is a track that is hard to not find yourself swept up in. Their creative brand of art-rock, compiled with the endlessly pounding drums and beautifully bizarre video make for a package that is hard to pull yourself away from.
Frontwoman and lyricist Kassie Carlson explains that “Famously Alive” is a song about “living with purpose and excitement whether you’re famous or not, accepting your strangeness and thriving even if your successes look different than other people’s.”
Multi-instrumentalist Peter Negroponte adds: “To me, ‘Famously Alive’ means flipping the notion of dying famously to living famously. I also like to think of it as a way to describe living through something traumatic and coming out of it a stronger, wiser person.“
