Swansea’s Hot Mass are an outfit that are looking to makes waves in the UK music scene with their eclectic take on modern alternative rock, taking influence from a range of sounds and styles from around the genre.

Following on from the excellent ‘Astroturf’, their latest single is the endlessly energetic and chaotic ‘Lung Capacity’, a short and sweet track that it feels like is intended to keep moving and feel as dynamic as possible. That is exactly what the track does, channeling more punk influences than the track that came before it and embodying the brash and uncompromising attitude of the genre. ‘Lung Capacity’ is tailor made for sweaty rooms filled with people shouting the words back at the band, and does a great job of continuing to flesh out the sound of Hot Mass and showcase their potential.
