Spearheaded by Peruvian-American singer-songwriter Lizzy Cruz, Hothead Wave are an exciting new alternative rock outfit who’s fuzzy sound and engrossing songwriting look to have them set for big things, releasing their debut single ‘Here’ back in January to widespread acclaim and leaving people anticipating what they’re doing next.

That sophomore release has come in the form of ‘Too Much’, a track that was written by Lizzy when experiencing an OCD flare up and one that really encapsulates the artist’s sense of anxiety and struggle through its fuzzy, frenetic sound. The track does a great job of feeling soaring and melodic stylistically while conveying its message clearly, with its sound feeling stylish and dynamic while having a truly potent edge that cuts through thanks to its narrative. With an upcoming debut EP set for release later this year and two stellar releases now in the bag, it looks like it could be an exciting time to get involved and find yourself enamoured with Hothead Wave.
