The track is from the artist’s powerful new EP Del Alhelí
LA native Inez Leon is an artist who’s cultural roots and ties to Mexico have a great deal of influence over her sound and style, with a year spent living in Mexico from summer ‘23 to summer ‘24 prompting a period of self-discovery following a breakup, inspiring her to exorcise all of her demons and feelings in the form of a collection of Spanish songs that would grow to be her new EP Del Alhelí.
Having already spoken about the second single ‘Dios A Ella’, we figured that another track that embodies the appeal and charm of the release is its previous single ‘Tan Lejos’, a beautifully crafted and nuanced track that has this calming, laid-back vibe that feels irresistibly charming and healing in spite of whether you speak Spanish or not. The track is a really great showcase of what you can expect from the EP as a whole and the delicate and absorbing nature of the artist’s sound, with the emotion and heart that is poured into the sound transcending any kind of language barriers.
