The track follows the release of his excellent recent single ‘Back 2 Me’
Emotional and creative alternative hip-hop is something that Jack Pavlina has grown synonymous with over the last few years, with the artist’s distinctive appeal and the character and personality that shines through his work seeing many tipping him for even bigger things in the near future.
The artist’s latest single ‘Jealousy (The Man)’ is just the latest showcase of this dynamic appeal, melding raw emotion with melodic, expansive soundscapes in a way that evokes the kind of spirit of artists like Dominic Fike, Mac Miller and Hard Life. Within the track though there is also a vulnerability and an aggression, giving it a punchiness and unpredictability that can often feel as volatile as it does rooted in emotion, continuing to push the sonic boundaries of his style in rewarding fashion.
“I was a little nervous to put out such an aggressive song, especially as a single,” Pavlina shares. “But the groove was just too good, and all my friends have started singing the chorus. I hope I don’t come off as just some punk kid screaming ‘STFU’—I just wanted to show my sensitivity and raw emotion.”
