Having made a name for herself as the former frontwoman for Australian new-wave duo We Are The Brave, London-based Australian performer and songwriter Jess Chalker has more recently garnered a reputation as a prolific and exciting solo talent, with her debut full-length album Hemispheres, due November 5.
‘Stupid Trick’ is a brand new single from the album and does a great job of continuing to establish the artist’s polished new sound. Melding sounds from the 80s and now in vibrant and timeless way, the track has an upbeat feel that immerses you with its warm hooks and effortlessly memorable songwriting. Following on from the success of the album’s first single ‘Don’t Fight It’, Jess looks to have something exciting on her hands come November 5th.
