The track is the first single from their upcoming fifth album Pink Flamingo
Triumphantly returning and releasing their first new music in 11 years, Welsh alternative rock outfit Kids In Glass Houses are back, looking to bring a more mature and modern take on their sound while holding onto the vibrancy and upbeat energetic charm that made the band such a success in their heyday.
Their latest single ‘Theme from Pink Flamingo’ is the first taste of their upcoming fifth album Pink Flamingo, set for release in October, and ushers this new era of KIGH in emphatic fashion. Their sound still has the catchy and dynamic feel of their more youthful work but embraces a more new wavey and nostalgic synthy tone that feels inspired throughout, while the lyrics take a reflective tone that mirrors this kind of evolution. We love the new direction from the band and are excited to see where it takes them in the lead up to the album release.
“A lot has happened personally and in society since we went on hiatus, and I wanted this record to reflect that. It had to feel like ten years had passed,” explains vocalist Aled Phillips. “But it still needed the DNA of Kids In Glass Houses.”
