The track is from the Canadian artist’s new album 3 AM Revelations
Blessed with a likeable, charismatic appeal and warm, alt-country sound, Canadian artist Leeroy Stagger has been releasing songs about two decades now and has this innate charm and appeal that just radiates light, as evidenced on his brand new track and video ‘Count To Ten’.
The track, pulled from his latest album 3 AM Revelations, has an almost conversational feel to it, thanks both to the way that it flows and the candid and authentic nature of the artist’s delivery and approach to it. It is startlingly easy to just find yourself lost in the artist’s performance and storytelling throughout, a master of his craft who manages to seamlessly captivate and transfix an audience using nothing but his guitar and his voice, in the way that all great entertainers do.
“This is Dennis Ellsworth’s song,” says Leeroy. “He wrote it with my tone in mind and when I heard it, I knew I wanted to record it. His version is very different from what I did with it. I feel akin to Dennis’ music because it feels like it lives in my mind as well. I don’t know what this song is about to him, but for me, it’s a meditation in gratitude and an observation on how much beauty exists in the world when you shut off the noise.”
