The track is from the artist’s upcoming release Collaborations Volume 3
Fiercely unique in both her approach and her sound, Leonie Evans is an artist who utilises collaboration and working with other artists and musicians to create truly distinctive and memorable works of art that feel multi-faceted and adventurous in a way that feels authentic and real, with the artist working with around 40 musicians on her upcoming Collaborations Volume 3 and giving them free reign with her sound.
The benefits of this are readily apparent on the releases first single ‘I Really Do’, a track that the artist wrote about her my struggles with romantic relationships and sexuality, with her poignant lyrics and the skeleton of the track that she put together elevated further by the creativity and depth that the wide range of artists on display have afforded it. The end result, even with many members of the band not known to each other, feels surprisingly cohesive and stirring, and serves as a really powerful showcase of the power of music and the way that it can bring people together to create beautiful, enriching pieces of art that can illuminate one person’s creative vision in such a captivating way.
