The track comes with a stunning, Paris-filmed video
On her latest single ‘Through The Phone’ Canadian singer-songwriter Lindsay Kay showcases her uniquely frank and sex positive writing alongside her emotive and ethereal vocals.
The track transcends its themes of sex and desire amber comes much more a piece of art that is about love. This is accentuated by the emotional vocal performance of the artist and the affecting and measured nature of the track. Speaking about sex in such an candid way is a rare occurrence in these kind of soft, emotional tracks, but the artist ensures that it’s passionate lyrics and sincere imagery make for a track that feels more romantic and emotionally charged than anything else.
Lindsay shares: “Through the Phone” began as a sexy, empowered, sensual song frankly about having phone sex with somebody I loved during the most isolated days of the pandemic. I set out to write something unapologetically celebratorary of my sexuality, which I think the song does. But through the process of writing it, the song evolved into something deeper and more vulnerable. “Through the Phone” became quite romantic in fact, and in the end, it is about missing someone deeply; about seeking intimacy and feeling a connection so strong that it is tangible, even from a great distance, even through the phone.”
