Thunder Bay indie pop duo Lockyer Boys are now well established for their infectiously catchy sound and upbeat, lasting appeal, and with each and every new release they continue to reassert why so many have them tipped for big things.

Their initial releases ‘Surfing In L.A.’ and ‘LATKD’ did a stellar job establishing their fun sound, but new single ‘Daisy’ may just be their strongest release to date. The track has the signature bounce and melodic drive of a Lockyer Boys track, but there is an underlying sense of nuance and caution within the lyrics, with subtle moments and reminders that love isn’t always back and white and easy. All in all, the track is another gorgeous piece of inescapably catchy pop that showcases a depth to the writing of the outfit, and a release that continues to build hype for their upcoming 2023 debut album.

“Daisies are a symbol of innocence and purity, but they are also a persistent weed,” says Lockyer Boys’ Will of the track. “This is the dichotomy of love. It can make you happy and also drive you insane.”
