The new track is the lead single from his eponymous debut EP
Ahead of the release of his upcoming debut EP, London/Hamburg based Louie Cameron has taken his first leap into establishing himself as an artist with the release of his debut single ‘Do You Wanna Go Out?’, a track that is packed full of moody textures that borrow from the artist’s influences, including 60’s New York pop melodies, Hamburg, and psychedelic soundscapes.
The result is a track that feels like it immediately showcases exactly what Louie is about as a solo artist, with the kind of slow-burning pace and engrossing textures that has a captivating, hypnotic hold on you as a listener. The droning refrain of “do you wanna go out?” has an almost haunting quality to it that really sticks with you beyond your listen, and draws you into an almost Lynchian, surreal world that is enhanced by its stylishly dark music video. We’re looking forward to hearing what is next from the artist, with his debut EP set for release April 28th.
