(Almost) Alongside the release of their long-awaited debut album Is It Too Late To Freak Out?, Low Girl have unleashed their latest single ‘White Gown’, continuing their recent trend of crafting relatable singles that feel deeply personal while having a wider, more universal appeal that listeners can attach themselves to and find a home within.

The new single has a frenetic and upbeat feel to it throughout as singer Sarah Cosgrove tries to navigate the shock and disorientation of going through the break up of a relationship that has become all that you know, having to figure things out all over again and reset yourself amidst the drama and upheaval of having your life turned upside down. This makes for a cathartic and intense track that is aided perfectly by the intense and hard-hitting nature of the sound, making for a listening experience that grips you tight and pulls you along for the rollercoaster ride with them.

Speaking on their single, Sarah revealed: “The experience of starting a relationship at the start of your twenties, reaching all the expected milestones of moving in together, engagement, and then breaking up in your late twenties, is quite disorientating. I know I’m certainly not alone in that sequence of events, but I felt really inspired to write about the chaos that followed as I tried to figure myself out again. The canvas for this track was provided by Tom and Bradley in the form of the opening riff. It was one of those songs where once we started jamming it out, the whole thing came together with surprising speed. The end result is something we are so excited about and proud of, and it feels like the energetic crux of the album.
