The track explores the haunting and sobering realisation that somebody you used to be close to has drifted away, and the sense of alienation that comes with that realisation. There is a softness to the vocals and the instrumentation that really brings out all of the emotion and heart in the track, and it makes for an affecting listening experience that is hard not to get swept up in and moved by throughout.
