Thankfully, the playful and enticing nature of the artist’s R&B sound gives the pained narrative an effortlessly danceable soundtrack, with its laid-back grooves and the artist’s lush vocals making for a sound that feels both unassuming and sweet while packing a slick, cutting edge. ‘transparent’ is the latest in a long line releases that the artist has been filtering out since 2021, and the Korean-American really seems to be growing in confidence and stature and really owning her sound with each coming release.
