Best known as the frontwoman of the indie rock band TANGERINE, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Marika Che has stepped out onto her own with a lush and alluring indie-folk sound that is packed full of depth, both lyrically and stylistically, showcasing a whole new side to herself an an artist and songwriter.
The artist’s debut single ‘Hot Moon’ is the first taste of the project, and sees her addressing a life that has been rich and packed full of adventure but not without its turbulence and ups and downs. There is a softness to the sound and her vocal delivery that feels instantly inviting and warm, but the vulnerability allows for some darker and more personal moments that make for a captivating, well-rounded listen that has us excited to hear more from the artist as she leads up to the release of a solo album.
