The track is the rousing pop artist’s first new single of 2025
An artist with an unabashedly fun and poppy sound that is packed full of emotion and his larger than life personality, North Wales artist Matthew Joseph has created a distinctively empowering and fierce style that often holds a mirror up to life and the adversaries that we manage to overcome and battle back from.
This is a theme that is explored on the artist’s new single ‘psychic’, a track written back in 2021 that artist has revisited since losing his mother to early-onset dementia, somebody who always believed in him and knew that he was destined for great things. The track was one that she loved the demo of, and this made it a obvious choice to finish it and release it in her with all profits donated to dementia care charities in her memory. The track itself digs deeper into these ideals of success and fame, echoing the message that the root of all of these things comes from believing in yourself and blocking out any negativity or anything trying to slow you down.
“I wrote ‘psychic’ during a time when I was obsessed with success and manifestation.” Matthew says. “I tried every tarot, psychic, and method out there. But after losing my mum, I realised I needed to trust myself instead. This song is about tuning out the noise, believing in your vision, and knowing it’s all going to work out.”
