Molly Hammar’s new single ‘Get To Know Me First’ dares women to not settle for less. The track features fellow Nordic pop stars Julie Bergan and Awa and follows Hammar’s earlier 2020 outing ‘Alone’.
A collaboration that celebrates female empowerment and the importance of sisterhood, ‘Get To Know Me First’ deploys a sturdy bassline and tropical beat for an irresistible sound. Bright synths decorate the outing in an understated manner, allowing the different vocals of all three artists to shine across its catchy pop melodies. With an earworm of a chorus, listeners will be humming it for days.
“When I wrote the lyrics for ‘Get To Know Me First’, it started as a celebration of single life, but then evolved as a call for all women to dare to set boundaries and not ‘settle for less’,” explains Hammar. “I was so happy when Awa and Julie jumped on the song as I think they are awesome and want us women to continue to support each other more than ever! This song is a tribute to all women”.
