The track comes ahead of the release of her new album Come As You Are at the end of the month
Having won us over so often with the softness of her sound and the thoughtful introspection of her writing, Niamh Regan has released the captivating new single ‘Music’, a track that showcases a fuller and more realised side to the artist’s sound that sees her exploring a wider sense of scope and ambition without losing any of her innate appeal.
The track feels catchy and packed full of intricate and thoughtful moments, feeling effortlessly engrossing and melodic from the second that it starts. It feels like a confident and assured step forward from the artist, broadening her horizons and expanding upon the sound that we have all fallen in love with time and time again. ‘Music’ is a wonderful showcase of the artist’s charming new direction, and a great little glimpse of what could be yet to come when the artist releases her brand new album Come As You Are at the end of the month.
Of the song, she says “Music is one of my favourite songs on the record. I was listening to a lot of Wilco while making this record and this song is like a nod to that with regards to production. It’s the first song that I wrote where I thought this might be an ear worm, and just had lots of fun with the lyrics and melody and I hope that comes across in the recording now.”
